Be­low is a list of the mi­ni­mum re­qui­re­ments and our re­com­men­da­ti­ons for your de­vices and hard­ware in or­der for the 3D soft­ware and all its fea­tures to work as smooth­ly as pos­si­ble.

Es­sen­ti­al­ly, a nor­mal Win­dows PC is all you need to run Palette CAD, pro­vi­ded that it’s con­fi­gu­red for gra­phics ap­pli­ca­ti­ons – a powerful gra­phics card is ex­tre­me­ly im­portant. Other­wi­se, the fas­ter the com­pu­ter, the smoot­her the de­sign pro­cess. And the hig­her your screen re­so­lu­ti­on, the mo­re de­tail­ed you can make your de­signs.

We re­com­mend the fol­lo­wing mo­bi­le de­vices for using the Palette CAD apps (Palette Home, Palette Work, Palette Mo­ve):

  •  Sam­sung / Hua­wei / Asus 8 inch and abo­ve (min. An­droid 7.0)
  •  iPho­ne 11 Pro Max

Whi­che­ver mo­bi­le de­vice you choo­se, make su­re that it has a gy­ro­scope (ac­ce­le­ra­ti­on and po­si­ti­on sen­sor).

For the best re­sults, use an up-to-date pho­to inkjet or co­lour la­ser prin­ter.

More about graphics cards

To ge­ne­ra­te high-qua­li­ty, pho­to-rea­li­stic and ar­tis­tic vi­sua­li­sa­ti­ons, you will need a fast, powerful gra­phics card. We re­com­mend gra­phics cards from NVI­DIA Cor­po­ra­ti­on. All dis­play mo­des in Palette CAD run wi­th Ge­Force GTX 460 se­ries gra­phics cards and hig­her. It’s a good idea to in­vest in gra­phics cards from the midd­le to high-end pri­ce ran­ge. The va­rious mo­bi­li­ty pro­ducts for note­books (e.g. GTX 970M) are al­so sui­ta­ble, alt­hough they are not as high-per­for­mance as desk­top pro­ducts.   • Our Palette pro­ducts are op­ti­mi­sed for gra­phics cards and dri­vers from the NVI­DIA GTX and RTX se­ries. Using other dri­vers me­ans that NVI­DIA Qua­dro gra­phics cards are on­ly par­ti­al­ly sup­port­ed. We re­com­mend test­ing the gra­phic card you’ve cho­sen be­fo­re you buy. And bear in mind that ma­nu­fac­tu­r­ers of­ten sup­p­ly gra­phics cards wi­th out­da­ted dri­vers, so it’s best to al­ways in­stall the la­test dri­ver ver­si­on.

    Using AMD (ATI) gra­phics cards can re­sult in dri­ver pro­blems when sel­ec­ting ob­jects in Palette CAD. So­me­ti­mes up­dating the dri­ver can help, but we re­com­mend that you al­ways test the gra­phics card be­fo­re you buy.
